Strengthening Families

Strengthening Families is a skills based programme for the whole family. It is a 14 week programme that focuses on 3 skills sets: teen skills, parent skills & family skills. The programme addresses communication issues within the family unit through supporting good family

LANS (Limerick Assessment of Needs System):

LANS is very much centered on a whole family approach. It is a common tool for agencies to use when identifying the needs of young  people & involves both young person & parent throughout the whole process. It involves identifying needs, putting an action plan in place & regular review to ensure action plan is working. Both parent & young person are consulted & in agreement with all actions taken. For more information on LANS go to the ‘Youth’ section or contact us on 061-326623.

The family support worker is available for one-to-one work with parents. She can be your link to other services, agencies, support groups & further education.
